Nyobducerat datorlik på lit de parade:
Efter slutlig kontroll av de nerdigaste bland de nerdiga* är domen fastställd. Det är mammabräddan eller proppen (processorn) som har gått och dött. Utan fläkt stänger datorn av sig på 5 minuter, för att proppen blir för varm vilket antyder att det inte är den (men helt säkert är det inte ändå).
Hur som helst har jag ingen annan propp som passar att prova med, så nu åker de i soptippen bägge 2**. Dessutom behöver jag ett nytt kragg (kraftaggregat), så jag kikar på din rekommendation Eff :)

Bästa är kanske att låna en burk av någon och testa grejerna innan .. eller har du gett upp det. Eller köp en grej i taget .. nätagg, proc, mobo

Om datorn går igång så är det ju knappast varken processor eller moderkort som är trasigt. Den hade inte ens startat utan dessa. Jag skulle testat att göra rent processorfläkten. Den brukar vara rätt full av damm vilket gör att den inte kan göra sina varv. Alternativ två är att ditt nätagg inte fungerar som det skall. Jag bytte nyligen ut mitt , då det var halv trasigt och gav samma fel som dig . Att datorn bara startade om efter 5 eller 10 minuter.

Att plocka isär har jag inga problem med men att sätta ihop ..?! Den där bilden skulle kunna tilltala mig i ett reklamblad för en hemelektronikbutik. Jag skulle bums få en köpimpuls och rusa till närmaste typ siba-butik!

Alla är vi olika Christina, själv tycker jag det är kul att kunna fixa lite själv. Mycket hjälp får jag dock.
Det var inte det som var problemet Darktroll (som du läser längre ner där jag beskrev det mer i detalj). Att den sänger av sig efter ett par sekunder utan fläkt, alltså när jag monterat bort processorfläkten, är för att den blir överhettad och har inget med kragget att göra.
Det handlade egentligen om att den inte hittade ditt lånade grafikkort ? Jag blev lite konfunderad över att du fick domen att moderkort eller processor var dålig pga att den la av efter några minuter. Varför monterar du bort fläkten i första läget. Resultatet är väl rätt givet ;-)
Corsairs kragg är fina. Har sett en burk med överklockad quad-core, fyra gig RAM, två grafikkort i SLI, ett flertal hårddiskar och vattenkylning dras av ett enda HX620. Så 520:an borde räcka gott, även om du vill kasta på en quad eller några hårddiskar till. Och ett till grafikkort i Crossfire.
